Paper Works
Using different types of paper to create layered images and 3D designs
Layering & Perforation
The base template was drawn and planned out from a picture of a flower. Each section is then cut out individually and layered on piece by piece to give the final product a 3D effect. The shadowed areas in the picture are indicated on the design through the use of holes poked into the paper with an awl.
Stencil Snake
The design is first drawn out using tracing paper over an image of a snake, then the lines are thickened up and the drawing is photocopied. The photocopy is then secured onto a plastic sheet and the gaps are slowly cut out to form the stencil.

Acrylic paint is then used to fill in the spaces using a stencil brush.
Quilling - Initials
The letters are of my initials, first drawn on tracing paper to use as a template. Each individual piece is hand-crafted using paper quilling methods, and arranged in a way that fills in the template. Smaller pieces are then made to fill in any odd gaps.
